Stay Safe

Following advise from the WHO, and UK government we have adjusted our safe methods of working to help reduce the spread of Covid 19.

Cleaning:

Door handles and common contact points are now cleaned on schedules throughout the day. (previously cleaned 2-3 times during the day by a staff member)

Controllers were already being cleaned after every session, as were the headsets – this will continue. We use PU leather cushion pads or silicone covers on all headsets, these are changed and cleaned with medical-grade UV after each customer. (Previously these were cleaned every use, changed periodically throughout the day, and UV cleaned every night)

Hand sanitizer stations are provided.

Distancing:

Each VR booth is 3m by 3m box. The arena is open plan, however, the play space for each person is limited to a 3m by 3m area, with spacing.

Social Distance reminder notices are posted, and our outside entrance will remain locked as usual- admittance strictly by appointment/booking only.

Staff members will explain the controls at distance, and instruct on putting on the equipment.

Spectators for any booking will be strictly limited to maintain social distancing advice. Please call if you are unsure on numbers.

Pre Covid Bookings:

Existing bookings will be given the first choice once we re-open, but full refunds are still available if you prefer.  We are waiting on further guidance regarding party groups, however, we expect this to resume once the schools re-open – parties will automatically be full venue hire.

Symptoms:

Staff who have any symptoms are advised to stay home, and isolate for two weeks.

Customers who have booked/paid for sessions can re-schedule, just call to let us know – we are happy to move the booking.

Payment/Bookings:

Bookings can be made and paid for online. If you plan to “drop round” please call to check availability, and call ahead.

Payment can be made over the phone, or via the contactless terminal located at the front desk (this will be cleaned after each use). If paying by cash, please try to have the correct amount.

Out-of Venue VR (Schools, community centers, and Health Care)

A full risk assessment and plan of work will be provided on a case by case basis; should there not be a safe and suitable way to provided VR sessions at your venue or to the group required we will explore alternative solutions.

Additional time will needed for headset change overs and sanitisation.

Full venue group bookings

These are still available, but limited in number to prevent frequent headset change overs.  Please get in touch for details.

FAQ:

  • Have you increased your prices to cover the additional cost (slower change over, cleaning, PPE, sanitizer)

No, we have not. We hope to maintain our current prices for the coming year.

  • Did you lay off staff during the outbreak?

No, we value our team and wanted to support them as much as possible. The team were furloughed, and continued to accrue holidays too!

  • What if a staff member needs to help me?

We have disposable VR face covers for the team, should they need to check the headset.

  • Are you still able to host parties and group sessions?

Yes, but the format has changed. We are limited to 8 players (so no headset changes), we can provide two 30 min VR Paintball/Laser tag sessions for 8 players, (with a short break in between the sessions) for just £16 per player!  For other event formats please get in touch!
